Expansion of HD Gaming: PS3 And PC Gaming
If you are a gamer, you know about the PS3, and if you are a serious gamer, you know about the hottest in PC gaming as well. Both bring together high definition graphics, and hours of game time. Most games that can be played online, will feature a several player multiplayer option; which leaves room for 10 or even hundreds of players to all team up together. In 2006, the PS3 rocked the gaming world by featuring super powered graphics, a giant hard drive, as well as blue ray disc compatibility. PC games have always been popular, but as time progresses they gain speed.
A PS3 comes with a few different options, including a 20 GB hard drive, 40 GB, 60 GB, and an 80 GB. Playstation 3’s are known for their blue ray disc capability, which allows you to view HD blue ray DVD’s using the game system. Since PS3’s are so high powered, they are also expensive but are comparable to a computer.
In 2008 the hit PS3 game, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots, was released. It rocked the gaming world, and proved that video games are no longer interactive entertainment, but can also feature stunning movie-like graphics. In Metal Gear 4, you play as Snake, but his age has progressed drastically. Playing in stealth mode, you have to save the world from being entirely controlled by nano injections. With 5 “levels” or “acts” of game play, plus an epilogue, and debriefing, this game has plenty of hours worth of game play. The makers of PS3 outdid themselves with this game, and it has several hours of perfectly clear cut scenes and action. The graphics are so fantastic, that the characters look like real people.
PS3 continues to impress and please, and it is projected to gain more popularity this coming season.
PC gaming is a totally different experience, because your computer becomes the game system; which means it can become anything that you choose. 4GB DDR3 Ram ? You can do it. The most powerful graphics card on earth? Yeah, you can have that too. An 80 inch computer screen? Yep, we cant forget that one. PC gaming is so special and unique, and it only continues to grow.
Within the past two weeks Spore was released for PC, and created a revolutionary type of game play. Published by Prima games, Spore offers a unique game play that allows you to create a character and continue its growth process and battle through different worlds. It is based upon the basic part of biology called evolution. Your creature will start off as a small “monster” and evolve into whatever you lead it to be. It is open-ended, and you can play again and again with something new and fresh. Spore is just a good example of the future of PC games.
