Downloads For iPhones - How To Get Unlimited iPhone Downloads

by James Jason

Want downloads for iPhones but have no idea where to find them? You are not alone as there are many other owners like yourself.

The iPhone is one of the most popular tech gadgets in the entire world after the successful iPod. Apple seems to be able to come up with one successful product after another. Both a phone and an iPod, you can also get online using this gadget. Many websites today also offer a wide variety of downloads for iPhones meant for surfing, business, news, weather, sports and music.

What are some of the useful downloads for your iPhone?

You can play music, songs and videos on the phone. So, in short, it works pretty nicely as a mobile MP3 and MP4 player. It is also a nice movie companion if you ask me. And there are many multi-media software applications for this device.

Doubling as a smart personal digital assistant, you can schedule and organize your meetings, work out your balance sheet with financial tools, and manage your investments with portforlio management software.

If you are using the iPhone 3G, you can load it with tons of social networking and web browsing applications. Talk to friends via “MSN lookalike” interfaces and even read the news online.

Where to get these downloads for iPhones?

Naturally, you can find some of them at iTunes. However, I checked it out and found that it is quite limited in selection. You can always make use of mainstream download services like Rhapsody, Sony and Amazon if you are looking for music and movies.

Still, there are some other specialized niche sites like Zoovision and Shape Services that offer software applications that are compatible with the iPod-cum-phone. From web tools and utilities to financial software and travel news applications, you can find something for your phone.

Another group of great resource to start looking at are the paid membership services. For a one-time fee, you can acess any number of downloads for iPhones like songs, music, videos, movies, music videos, games, software and even wallpapers and ringtones.

Why Should you get an Unlocked Cell Phone?

by Steven Wade

Unlocked Cell Phones, for Those who like to roam

Having finished your mobile phone contract, what are you left with. Maybe it’s a really good mobile phone. Well most networks lock there phones so that you can only use them on their network. This is when getting an unlocked cell phone will pay off. Unlocked refers to the SIM card; an unlocked cell phone doesn’t have a fixed service plan or a fixed network it can be operated from. This means that one is just purchasing the phone not a service plan or signing up with a cellular service provider. This is a nice option for people who don’t want to purchase a phone/service plan combination or that want a certain phone that they are unable to purchase from a retailer for their cellular service company.

Why Aren’t Cell Phones Unlocked in the First Place?

To make sure that a customer stays with a particular service provider all cellular service providing companies electronically lock their cell phones, to ensure they may only be used with their network. This is done with the SIM card which stores all the phones customized information, when it connects to the provider’s network, the SIM card is sent an electronic signal which prevents another provider’s network from accessing the card; this is where roaming charges come from, one company charging another to use it’s service towers. This may seem unfair but this is generally why the contract is so cheap in the first place.

How you Can Unlock a Cell Phone?

There are ways to unlock a cellular phone by entering a particular code which will remove the electronic lock placed on it. There are companies which sell this information on the internet; these companies will research the phone figure out its SIM card’s code and send it to the end user to unlock their phone to use with another service provider. This could be very helpful to a person who travels frequently for work or pleasure, as it may reduce roaming charges; unlocked cell phones may connect to any network. You can purchase of find software that will unlock you phone for you.

Sometimes Unlocking a Cell Phone isn’t all it’s cracked up to be

Unlocking a cellular phone doesn’t guarantee that the phone will work with all networks, the only way to guarantee an unlocked cell phone will work is to purchase it new from a third party dealer. Alternately if one were to choose to unlock an existing cell phone their first choice should be to ask their provider to unlock it. The reason for this is simple, because there is no “hacking” into the phones memory or dealing with a third party vendor that little is known about, going directly to the company is probably a safer route. But there are electronics stores that will unlock your phone for you.

An Unlocked Cell Phone May Not Be for Everyone

The largest downfall and deterrent from purchasing an unlocked cell phone from a third party vendor is the price tag; the cost for an unlocked cell phone is nearly the manufacturers suggested retail price. For this reason many people choose to purchase a cell phone/service plan combination package which will give the person the phone free or nearly free, when they sign a user agreement. Your network provides may unlock your phone for you if you ask them.

We hope this has helped you make your decision. In our opinion if you do Purchase a mobile phone that is locked you can find software to unlock it very easily.

Do You Need a Pocket PC?

by Michael Erikson

In today’s world, it is not feasible to stay out of touch. There are appointments to keep and calls to make. There are emails that cannot go unanswered. You have to be able to edit and send documents while being on the go.

Try a pocket PC as a way to help you stay in touch with the world. It has all of the properties of a computer, but is compact so you can carry it with you at all times.

The pocket PC has come a long way since its humble beginnings. This device started out as a calculator sized computer that had very limited and basic functions. Later models added the ability to see one line of text. Today’s models are much more advanced. You can keep track of important appointments, browse the internet, organize your files and even play games and listen to music.

The pocket PC is also known as a Personal Digital Assistant, or PDA. The previous versions ran on Windows Mobile 5, but have since upgraded to Windows Mobile 6. Windows Mobile 5 was a great relief to PDA owners.

In previous versions, if the battery ran dead, then all information would be lost. Mobile 5 eliminated this by storing the information on a flash drive. The handhelds software also improved with version 6, with advanced capabilities, more storage and a feature that allows the PDA to act as a Smartphone.

The conventional pocket PC is already getting obsolete and the new upcomer, Windows mobile Smartphone is getting the mainstream’s attention. This is the new favorite by both companies and civilian gadget users. It’s basically a phone with PC Software and can be used just like a regular PC but in a very portable way of course.

It was this evolution of the cell phone that had many companies altering their selling tactics. Most companies elected not to pursue the pocket PC, since Smartphones were becoming more of a mainstream choice.

There are of course different manufacturers and if you want to know what brands are on the market, then PalmOs, Blackberry and Hewlett Packard models all make great Smartphones, just to name a few.
