How To Get A Free Ringtone

by Chris Channing

Today’s society thrives based on getting everything for free- and mobile phone ringtones are no different. Getting the latest MP3 “true tone” ringtones usually costs cell phone owners a pretty penny- but those who are tech-savvy enough will get them absolutely free. Although many different methods are possible, a few in particular are the most beneficial.

Free ringtones will be available solely at the discretion of the mobile provider’s rules. Some companies don’t allow third party add-ons such as ringtones. In the United States, the U.S. Cellular brand of services is a perfect example of this fact. If one’s provider doesn’t allow for third party programs and content, one is likely going to have to pay for their ringtones no matter what they do.

Connectivity is what cell phones are all about- and this fact also helps give mobile phone users a way to get free ringtones even under tight watch from the mobile phone provider. Technologies such as Bluetooth allow mobile phones to connect wirelessly and share content. It just so happens that ringtones can be traded this way, meaning friends can share ringtones and content for no charge at all.

Often times before one can transfer a ringtone for free, they must first have access to the free ringtone in question. While many would pay for the ringtone to obtain it if their friends don’t have it, many websites provide all types of free ringtones. Free websites that offer such ringtones may demand that surveys be completed in return, or even an offer investigated, but in effect the consumer gets the ringtone for absolutely no cost.

Ringtones are sometimes frustrating to obtain, since it’s hard to find a specific part of a song that appeals to one’s personal tastes. If a little extra customization is wanted, or even if one wants to stay within their legal rights, making a ringtone of one’s personal music library can be done with computer software. Ringtones need to be a certain length and in a certain format in some conditions- something computer software can handle automatically!

Be warned, however, that many “free ringtones” are actually part of a payment plan. Commercials that advertise free ringtones will have footnotes that claim that a plan will need to be purchased for the free ringtone gift. This is a dastardly way of tricking consumers into money, but in the defense of such means of selling ringtones, the consumer should have paid their attention to the “fine print.”

In Conclusion

There are so many venues for free ringtones that it is ridiculous to pay for such trivial things. By following the mentioned steps, Internet users and normal consumers can get their hands on free ringtones of every size, quality, and length- just be sure it’s legal and no hidden fees apply to the transaction.

Mobile Phones With Bad Credit

by Rick Vincent

If you have a poor credit rating obtaining a mobile phone can be difficult. The major mobile phone networks in the UK will not allow you an agreement.

Here is a plan that details what you can do to get a mobile phone with a decent tariff.

Most people with bad credit will actually end up buying a pay as you go mobile phone and end up paying higher call costs, on top fo having to purchase the phone to get going.

With pay as you go mobile phones the networks reduce the cost of most handsets and have to recoup this with higher call charges.

Finding a bad credit mobile phone supplier often charge a deposit. This is because you may run up a big bill and not pay. The best company I know is the Utility Warehouse.

The Utility Warehouse has a couple of major advantages. They do not perform a credit check and only ask that you pay the first ten pounds of your bill in advance. The other main advance is that you can off set the cost of your mobile bill by taking a couple of other services.

The only minor disadvantages are a 1.76 per month membership fee, having to pay by direct debit and not having as bg a choice of mobile phones as a high street store.

So in summary, if you need a mobile phone and have bad credit then The Utility Warehouse is your best option.

Smile for the Camera Phone

by Aretha Rudford

The mobile generation is riding a new wave of convenience. Camera phones are quickly replacing basic cell phones as the gadgets of choice for today’s on-the-move market.

These days, almost everyone has a cell phone. From Bluetooth and WAP-enabled phones to infrared-based models, we simply can’t live without them. There are almost as many cell phones on the street as there are pedestrians. If you’re not convinced, try a little experiment to prove it to yourself:

Stand in crowded public place, like at the mall or on a busy street corner. Have a nearby buddy call you on your cell phone and as it rings, look to see how many people are reaching in their pockets or purses to check their own phones.

Cell phone use has caught on like wildfire, and it’s not at all surprising. These phones are compact, affordable and ultra-convenient. Users can stay in touch from virtually any location, and make or receive calls to or from any almost anywhere in the world. What may be surprising is the fact that so many people are trading up to new camera phones.

Today’s cell phones are like the Swiss army knives of the communication world. With just a touch of a button they can be used to instantly send and receive e-mail and text messages, play games, surf the Internet and keep track of appointments. Best of all, each of these tasks can be accomplished while the user is out and about: at work, on the bus, in a restaurant or at a club. Now, the most exciting advancement in the average cell phone is the addition of photographing capabilities. The ability to take digital photographs from their handset is enough to send users out to the stores to replace their perfect good handsets with new camera phones.

The Japanese market was first to experience the thrill of the camera phone, and Asian cellular users immediately caught the camera phone bug. A few years later, manufacturers began marketing camera phones in the United States and these hot gadgets became available to the masses. While not overly popular at first, North Americans quickly began to appreciate the convenience of having a camera and cell phone together in one handset. Of course, the devices have become so well-received that some have predicted that camera phones will become the most popular consumer device in history.

According to industry analysts, camera phones comprised 12% of the total cell phones sold in 2003, and predicted those numbers to rapidly climb. A research firm called IDC suggested that more than 80 million camera cell phones have been sold worldwide.

You may ask yourself, why not just carry a phone and a camera? You’ll know the difference when you spot the perfect sunset at the beach, with your camera locked in the trunk of your car three miles up the shore. Or you’ll notice the difference when you bump into your favorite movie star at a busy restaurant, whip out your camera phone for an impromptu photo shoot, and email the photo proof to your buddies just seconds later.

It may seem a little excessive to have a camera incorporated into your cell phone, but it will all be worth it when life hands you those unforgettable moments. When it happens, you can’t afford to miss the call.
