Digital Camera Tips

by Fabian Toulouse

Digital cameras have been around a good while now, but there are still some real 35mm fans out there who have resisted the switch. While 35mm is still perfectly fine, it is hard to argue with some of the advantages of digital. Digital cameras allow you to immediately assess the pictures you capture, and with the software programs available on most computers, the possibilities for alteration and digital manipulation of photographs is practically limitless. There is a lot of confounding information, however, about which digitals are best.

Of course, you also have some diehard digital users who are ready to invest in a newer or fancier digital, but are having a hard time choosing the perfect model for their needs. When it comes to getting a new camera, then, it seems most people could use a few digital camera tips!

When purchasing a digital camera, you have to be honest with yourself about how you will be using the camera. If you are a professional or an enthusiastic photographer, you definitely want to go with Digital Single Lens Reflexes (DSLR). If you currently own a 35mm SLR you will most likely be able to make the switch quite effortlessly, and you will probably even be able to use your present lenses with a digital camera body.

The advantages of DSLR include lens interchangeability, high speed shooting to shoot sports and other fast action, and a viewfinder that is through the lens. If, however, none of these things matter much to you, and you just want a small camera to carry around in your pocket on vacation or at family get-togethers, then what is regularly called a “point-and-shoot” will probably answer your needs. Be advised. though, that a point and shoot camera with an electronic viewfinder is the smartest choice. Those with optical viewfinders are a challenge in that it is hard to tell exactly what you are photographing, and if you are in bright light the glare will make it tough to see the viewfinder at all!

No matter which camera you choose, going digital is a lot of fun. You can take all the pictures you want, dumping any bad pictures to make room for more, and you can see that same instant what kind of shots you are getting!

This model produces vivid colors and details that will make the video so realistic that a person will feel like they are right there in the actual moment that is being captured on film.

All of the auto functions on this camcorder are very accurate and incredibly fast acting. This is as good as it gets when it comes to automation. The average cost of this camcorder is around five thousand dollars.

Find The Best Computer Screensaver For Free

by Chris Channing

Computer users are accustomed to using screensavers- but they often don’t know that using one is going to save their computer from wear and tear! Screensavers allow for the monitor to “relax” while the computer isn’t in usage. But getting a free screensaver that suits one’s style is going to be a challenge indeed.

Free screensavers are available all throughout the Internet. Most of them are quite easy to find, but less desirable to use. Some websites like to include their brand names of their products and services or the services of advertisers in the screensaver. Obviously, sometimes getting things free comes with a price after all.

There are some anomalies in the science community that have been apparent for decades. The problem is that there isn’t enough computing power today to get to the bottom of most of these mysteries. Some science topics can be helped through distributed computing, which gives computer owners a free ad-free screensaver in exchange for their computer resources when they aren’t using it.

Sometimes screensavers aren’t always personal- but rather a means of advertising a business. If one runs a small business, there are free tools available on the Internet to make screensavers that should be taken advantage of. A screensaver can be passed out to clients, who may in turn use the screensaver and broadcast the business message to friends and family members. If nothing else, it makes a business more professional for using their own branded software.

One problem with the humor screensavers is that they don’t update- and the ones that do are mostly paid alternatives. Stale comics quickly become old and boring- so more advanced screensavers that automatically download new content are a great way to keep laughing and in good terms. Free updated humor screensavers will be hard to find, but with a few good searches it is more than possible.

Free screensavers can also come via free surveys and questionnaires. These surveys take some time to fill out, but it is often the only way to get a truly remarkable free screensaver. This is especially true among the 3D screensavers, which are usually expensive to develop. Thus, it’s usually a good idea to go ahead with helping out developers who have put their hard time and work into making the 3D screensaver in question.

Final Thoughts

In the end a screensaver may not be a serious topic to spend hours in search of, but it can indeed make for a happier experience. For more information on obtaining a free screensaver, check with friends or family members who may have had already found good options in this area.
