Reasons to use Texas Web Designers

by Jordan FeRoss

Using Texas web designers have many benefits you should consider if you have a web business. You can get custom site designs, quality custom content, SEO advice, and much more. Web designers can help you with the functionality of your website and help your online business to succeed. If you want your website to succeed you should consider hiring a professional.

Compatibility is a problem for many websites. There are thousands of websites online that do not work correctly in every browser. Most websites are built for Internet Explorer but your potential customers may be using a different browser. There are many different browsers besides Internet Explorer including Fire Fox, Safari, and Netscape.

If you want to reach as many potential customers as possible and compete in the global market you should get the help of a professional. If you hire Texas web designers you can improve the structure and design of your website to ensure it works with every browser type and that you don’t miss any potential customers. If your website is compatible with every browser your market can truly be global.

Texas web designers offer custom web design and help with existing websites. They do not use templates to build a website, unless a client has a specific template in mind, rather they build them from scratch. In most cases websites built through these companies are custom made to suit the individual needs of every customer. If you want your online business to succeed it needs to be unique and not look like any other company on the internet. Custom web design is crucial to create a credible image for your business.

Some web designers concentrate on perfecting the technical aspects of your website like the navigation, interactive features, and Meta tags, but are completely clueless when it comes to content. Some even go so far as to resort to PLR articles (private label rights, these articles are available to the public and are being using by multiple websites) or even worse they stoop to plagiarism by copying and pasting content from other sites. This will not only cause you to have a low search engine ranking, but viewers who visit multiple sites may recognize the content and will not trust your site at that point. Texas Web Designers are experts in creating unique content for each website they work with and they know what kind of content will work for you.

Using Texas Web Designers may be the key to getting your business to thrive regardless of what is happening in the economy. In fact, it is more important now than ever to provide the best content possible and have the best website of any of your competitors because competition is stiff now and it is only going to get worse. Rising to the top is going to require using every advantage possible and that includes hiring a web design/optimization company that knows what it takes to succeed. You will be hard pressed to find a better web design company anywhere on the internet today.

Be Clever, Be Greener

by Simon M Skinner

Unless you live off the grid in a remote area (and if so, you’re probably not reading this anyway), you no doubt hear a lot about the need to reduce our carbon footprint and to live a greener life. It’s important and almost everyone will acknowledge this, but it can feel like you’re being lectured at times.

When you eat the naturally grown food you are giving your body fresh food, you are also keeping pesticides and chemical fertilizers from contaminating the earth. Antibiotics and growth hormones will be eliminated from the environment by eating meat from animals grown without using them. You are also keeping a lot of dangerous things out of your body. Processed foods are stripped of nutrition and are likely to clog your arteries causing heart problem.

One great (and easy) way to live greener is to join your local Freecycle email list. Instead of throwing away unwanted items, you can post them on the list - it’s more than likely that someone will have a need for them. Of course, when you need something, you can look there first before going out and buying new things. Freecycle keeps a lot of trash out of landfills and is a great money saver.

Food scraps make great fertilizer when composted and a mess in the garbage can, so why throw it away when it can be used? You can add leaves and grass as well as coffee grounds and egg shells to your pile of compost. Fruit and vegetables that have spoiled or waste from peeling or chopping certain foods such as potatoes can also go into the pile. Don’t use meat or bones as it will take too long to break down and also attract flies and other nasty insects. Water it down when it needs it to keep it active and when it comes planting time you can add it to your garden soil and grow some nice healthy vegetables.

You can also get rid of your existing yard lights and replace them with solar powered lights. These do just as good of a job of illuminating your outdoor spaces, but use no electrical power. You can find solar powered yard lights in a variety of pleasing designs and you can install theme yourself without the assistance of an electrician. Solar powered holiday lights are also available, letting you save money on your electric bill while dressing up your home for the holidays.

Another great way to save money while doing something to live greener is to use rechargeable batteries - these have greatly improved in recent years and are long lasting, easy too use and of course save money as well. When the batteries are finally used up and cannot take another charge, they may be recycled at almost any hardware store.

Once you start doing this, you will feel much better about yourself and also see how easy it is to live green. You will probably be surprised at the money you gain too. You can rest easier knowing you are doing your part to keep the earth greener and healthier for future generations as well as right now.

The Importance of Data Security

by Amy Nutt

Truly securing the data of your company and your customers is vital to business success. In today’s world of identity theft and data thieves, many small companies are unfortunately ill-prepared to handle the heavy weight of the responsibility they have for this data.

Most small businesses understand the importance of providing secure storage for their customers’ data. After all, they’ve seen the results of improper storage of data. When a company has to send out a letter to its customers informing them that their private information has been compromised, customers begin to think twice about doing business with that company.

How Do Most Businesses Compare? Although most small business know how important it is to securely store data, they don’t always have a good disaster recovery data storage plan in place. Some business do not understand the need for formal planning about data security. Others feel that they can protect their data with simple common sense.

Unfortunately, relying on common sense and no formal plan is a bad recipe for data storage. Storing sensitive data in a responsible, secure way requires detailed formal planning and trained professionals.

What Kind of Data Needs to Be Secure? Securing data means understand which pieces of information need to be protected and enacting proper procedures and safeguards to keep this information safe. What type of information is high priority when it comes to data security?

- Customer Information Securing the data of customers should be the number one priority for any business. Without customers, the business would fail. And without data security, the customers will take their business to a competing company. In today?s world-wide economy, customers have many choices. Securing customer data keeps customers happy.

- Product Information In many industries, protecting information about new and existing products is also a priority. Competing companies may be looking for a leg up and could find that help by using stolen data. Innovation is key to surviving in most businesses, and in order to protect its intellectual property, a company needs to pay attention to data security.

- Employee Information Most companies have detailed personal information about employees, such as Social Security Numbers, addresses, telephone numbers, and employment records. It?s vital to the success of a business to protect the interests of its employees. Employees are what make a company successful.

- Company Information It is important for many companies to protect financial information and other data about the business. If accessible to unauthorized users, this information could harm the business’s reputation or provide impetus for legal action against the company. Protecting company information is essential.

How Private Data Centers Provide Security For many companies, the solution to the challenge of data security is hiring managed services. The private data center is then responsible for providing secure storage for this important data, freeing the company to focus on other areas of business that are integral to success.

Private data centers usually have multiple layers of data security. Physically, private data center buildings usually have security guards and surveillance cameras to watch over the important data around the clock. Card key access is required for physical entry into private data centers, providing a record of who has access to sensitive information.

Many companies find that they value the peace of mind of having their data protected at a private data center. It eliminates the hassle and expense of putting proper security features in place, training existing staff, and hiring new dedicated staff. And knowing that important information is secure helps companies focus on their own products and services.
