Apple MacBook Air Review

by Calvin Sorren

Apple MacBook Air in short is super small, super fragile, and super light. Just a slight tap on the screen closes down the system completely.

Since Apple MacBook Air is the lightest, it has been able to surpass other MacBook in that category. the slimness of this MacBook sets this in the center of attention. The total depth of .76 inches toward the back tapers down to .16 inches toward the front bezel.

The curved design of the Apple MacBook Air makes it stand out in the crowd. Other laptops have look thicker due to a flat level of thickness all around, where as Apple MacBook Air has a thickness of .04 centimeters at most parts, and is curved.

This laptop does have few limitations like absence of connectivity ports and optical drive. Yet, numerous innovative features like standard-voltage processing parts and full-size keyboard within the diminutive size makes up for all limitations. Having an Internet connection reduces the utility of an optical drive greatly.

Pre installed software is a plus on the Apple MacBook Air. A few of the software titles installed already include: Mac OS Xv10.5 Leopard operating system, Safari, iTunes, iMovie, Xcode, Time Machine, and many others.

Due to its active participation in Greenpeace, Apple has enclosed the MacBook Air to suit all environmental concerns. It has a completely recyclable aluminum case, all circuit boards are BFR and PVC free. Apple has also been the first to sport a mercury-free display with arsenic-free glass. In addition, the retail packaging utilizes 56% less material that MacBook packaging. Its Energy Star 4.0 certified status also makes it EPEAT silver compliant.

7 Reasons You Should Start A Website Today

by Darrel Hawes

If you’ve decided to go ahead and start your website, when should you do it?

The short answer to this question is: as quickly as possible. Here are several reasons why this is true.

First, the sooner you get your site up and running, the sooner you can start enjoying the benefits of having a site. This could mean not only increased revenue, but also reduced customer service issues. For example, you can include documentation and help for using your products directly on your website.

Secondly, aged domain names have a tendency to rank higher in Google searches than younger domains. So the older your domain, the better advantage you have in web searches.

Third, once your site is up and running, you can begin promoting it. Since the effects of such promotion are cumulative, and you or your representatives can only do so much every day, you will want to start on promotion as soon as possible. Some of the promotion you can do include articles, video, press releases, commenting on blogs, and forum marketing.

Fourth, if your competitors have a website, you will want to start “catching up”.

Fifth, any effort that you put in today will give you a lead over your competition who are not online. People often put off starting a website, believing it will be time-consuming and difficult.

Sixth, having a website will make prospects and existing customers feel better about doing business with you.

Seventh, because the average person requires several different interactions with you before they will buy, a website can lessen the personal interactions required to induce your prospect to spend money with you. By including articles or documentation on your website, you can help the prospect get to a buying decision with little direct effort on your part.

Get A Quick Website Sales Boost

by CEO, The Internet Marketing Center

If you want to instantly increase your site’s sales, take a close look at the most important elements of your web site.

Do you have a “call to action”.

Your efforts probably have focused the headline… salescopy, graphics, navigation, testimonials, and opt-in offers.

But all these are meaningless if there isn’t a call to action!

Your visitors want you to tell them what to do. If you don’t tell them to purchase your product or subscribe to your free newsletter, they won’t.

The Power of Suggestion

A call to action clearly states what action you want your visitors to take. It encourages people to take that action and tells them what will happen if they do.

Here’s a few examples:

* “Click Here to Subscribe!” * “Join Our Affiliate Program” * “Add to Your Shopping Cart” * “Order now to take advantage of this limited-time offer!”

Include an emotionally appealing benefit in your call to action to convince visitors of the value of your product and encourage them to take the action. For example: “Read on to learn how you could save thousands of dollars on your next home purchase.”

You want to pique people’s interest and make them believe that taking the specified action will offer them a direct benefit.

The most obvious and important call to action, of course, is the one that asks visitors to make a purchase.

It’s amazing how many people simply neglect to ask for the order. This simple oversight can be deadly for your business; in fact, studies show that you can increase your sales by at least 80% by clearly instructing your visitors how to make a purchase!

Don’t Rush!

The call to action tis the make-it-or-break-it moment. Closing a sale is like lining up a golf shot — you don’t want to rush it!

It takes work to close the sale. Before you get there, you have to

* Answer the question: “What’s in it for me?” Emphasize the benefits of your product or service.

* Establish your credibility by citing credentials, including customer testimonials, etc.

* Overcome objections to buy

* Build value into your offer

* Have a strong guarantee

* Offer bonuses

Once you’ve done all these things, then you can ask for the order. In fact, you must ask for the order at that point! Otherwise, all the great work you’ve done will be wasted.

Instill a sense of urgency so your visitors feel compelled to make a purchase right away rather than leave and return to your web site later. To create urgency, you can

* Limit the time: “Available for the next 5 DAYS ONLY!”

* Limit the quantity of products or services you offer: “Available only to the first 100 people who order!”

* Include a discount for a on a limited quantity of products.

* Include bonus items for a limited time.

However, you have to follow through on any such claims you make, or your credibility will be ruined.

Final Thoughts

After the main headline, your call to action is the most important element on your web site. It should stand out from the rest of your copy and be easy for your visitors to find. In order to draw attention to it, use bolding, a larger font size, a different color — whatever best suits the style of your web site.

To test your call to action, ask some friends to look over your homepage. How long does it take them to find your call to action? As a general rule, it shouldn’t take people any longer than 3 seconds.

Don’t forget, your call to action is what reflects the true purpose of your web site. It’s the key that gets your visitors to do what you want them to do. Take the time to craft enticing copy that really encourages your visitors to take action. If you make people an offer they can’t refuse, your sales will really soar!
