Best Tips for Finding a Wii

by Winfred Clewett

Even though it’s been quite awhile since the Wii was released, people are sill hunting all over to try and find one to buy. It is so hard, that a large group of people still are asking when does the Nintendo Wii come out to the public not realizing they are already out. The sad fact is, only limited numbers were released which make them hard to find.

Therefore, in this article, we will give you a few tips for finding a Wii. It will take some effort and hunting on your part, but far worth it when you are holding a Wii in your hands finally.

Advertisements ” The local stores continue to receive shipments of the Nintendo Wii. However, they may not always be in stock like the advertisement claims, because they remain extremely popular. If you see an advertisement for a Wii, contact the store directly and ask when they get a shipment and be there that day, early, if possible.

Be Prepared To Wait ” The demand for the Wii is far greater than the supply. Therefore, you will still find lines when you go to purchase one on delivery day. Be prepared to get there early and wait in line. This will get worse around holiday season, so try to get yours early if you can.

Search The Internet - The most promising avenue for most people is via the internet. With so many retailers and auctions to choose from, you may find your Wii fairly easily. However, verify that your sources are reputable and proven and that their Wii’s are in stock before you make your purchase.

You might be able to find a Wii online at one of the thousands of retail websites as these sites will offer you your best chance. Stick with sites you trust, find out about other peoples dealings with the store and gather as much information as you can before you make your purchase.

Don’t ask when the Nintendo Wii is coming out, because it has already been released. Your question should be: where can I get one? You can usually find one at stores like Best Buy, Circuit City, or Wal-Mart. Check back frequently as these stores receive regular shipments If you can’t find one at one of these stores, you may be able to find one at your local game store.

When you’re ready to purchase a Wii, you will need to have patience. They’re hard to find, even though they’ve been out for quite some time. The Wii is an extremely popular game system, and it’s a lot of fun, so even though it may take some time and more than one attempt to find one, in the end you’ll get a great deal of fun out of it.

How To Find Free Music To Download For iPod

by Davion W

It is possible to find legal and free music to download for iPod. This is especially if the sites you get them from are hosting lesser known underground band groups or potential stars. Before you get on your quest to download free music for your iPod, what you will read here is going to come in handy.

By now, there are millions of users who own this cool MP3 player. Surely, this large community would not mind packing their gadgets with songs and music they can transfer for free. The question is where you can find free music to download for iPod. Here are some tips to get you started.

1. File Format

Before you get all too excited, there is one thing you need to know. The iPod only reads and plays files in the following formats - AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, and 4), Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV. So prior to downloading any piece of music, be sure to check if the site supports the formats.

Of course, you can always go to another site with other file formats but you will then need to use a file format conversion application to convert the songs. It can prove to be an expensive and time-consuming exercise.

2. Music Genres

Look at the music genres they offer. If you are a fan of a certain band or soloist, or even a particular genre, see if the site offers it at all. In the music industry online, there are sites that offer all kinds of genres from Alternative to Folk, Pop, Rock, Hip Hop, R&B and Jazz.

3. Safe To Use

Next, ensure that the site is safe to use. There have been so many complaints from users about downloading adware, spyware and getting their PCs exposed to viruses. Reputable sites like Macidol, iLounge and iCompositions do provide some quality GarageBand music as well as songs from lesser known groups.

As with any kind of file transfer online, there are risks involved when you find free music to download for iPod. As an added layer of PC protection, consider installing anti-virus on your PC.

Online Backup For Data Recovery And Piece Of Mind

by Dan Miller

The typical process of backing up computer data is almost like a form of insurance. It may seem too mundane or unnecessary to bother with, but when the disaster strikes, it may be too late. Many years ago, computer data backup software utilities and solutions included forms of external physical media such as CD’s, zip drives, DVD’s, external hard drives, tape drives, or automated software running on the computer itself.

If you are looking for a data backup solution, you should know that the recent explosion in broadband internet coverage, plus less expensive hard drive space has made online data backup an excellent option. There are now many online data backup and disaster recover services available. One advantage of using an online backup service is that you don’t have to purchase additional physical storage. Instead, you subscribe to the service just as you probably do for your internet connection.

Performing a typical backup program can be quite a strain on one’s computer compared to using the software client’s footprint. However, the speed of the latter method is limited to bandwidth and a large backup can become very time intensive. Traditional methods using external physical media are faster, but can be halted if the Internet connection is lost.

Many of these services provide a free trial, and fees start at about five dollars per month for a regular subscription, on up to hundreds of dollars per year for enterprise subscriptions. Presently, available storage space starts around one gigabyte, on up to unlimited space. Unlike with external media, the user can simply purchase more storage space as needed.

The online backup services often include separate perks and capabilities, like file sharing, photo sharing, slide shows, social networking services, and encryption for transfer and storage. Some of these service’s client software works better with Macs, and some of it works better with Windows. Because of this, your user experience and the integrity of the restoration process may be more satisfactory from some services than from other services.

As with all things, hard drives will eventually fail. Similarly, a thief could walk away with your computer and its contents. Additionally, through intent or accident, it is quite possible your drive could be reformatted, and the data lost. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to do systematic backups, and to check them periodically to ensure you have a recent copy of your information.
