The Top 10 NES Games of all Time

by Jon Ferraro

It’s pretty hard coming up with the 10 best NES games of all time, but here is mine:

10) Duck Hunt - By far, it was the best shooting for the NES> It was the reason to have the Nintendo Zapper.

9) Ice Climber - It’s a cult classic. I know it’s not the most advanced gameplay ever concocted but it’s still a blast to play, even to this day.

8) Metroid - Completely innovative. Started a monster franchise. It may not be the best of the series, but where would it be without it?

7) Zelda II: The Adventure of Link - I know this isn’t a popular one for the Zelda fans. It?s hard game to get into. But once you do you?re absolutely hooked.

6) Castlevania - It’s kind of a toss up to pick which Castlevania was the best. It may not be an easy decision but there is no doubt the original is a classic.

5) Tecmo Bowl - Quite frankly, its the best football video game ever. I know it may seem simple by today’s standards, but that’s the real beauty of it. You don’t have to memorize and entire playbook and 100 different button combinations to enjoy it.

4) Contra - The ultimate code. We all now it by heart and it was the best co-op game of the 1980s. It never got old and still holds up really well today.

3) Super Mario Bros - What hasn’t been said about this game? The game might have single handedly saved the home video game console. After Atari bombed, Nintendo needed something like this.

2) The Legend of Zelda - More addictive than ice cream. I must have spent all of my fourth grade year trying to beat the game. Arguably the most influential game of all time.

1) Super Mario Bros. 3 - Incredible and innovative gameplay. You could tell where the future of gaming was headed after playing this game.

The Benefits of Using a Business Web Directory

by John

A web directory is just what it sounds like: a directory that is found on the Internet that directs you to various web sites. A web directory provides the perfect place for a webmaster to advertise their website. Users that visit a web directory do so, in order to find websites on a particular category or topic. Unlike a search engine, this displays results based on key words and phrases, a web directory group?s information into categories by topic.

Directories organize info that can be accessed in a process known as you go from the most general to increasingly specific subcategories. A business directory provides the ideal directory to submit your site to if you?re trying to attract customers. Users can usually search these directories by category and location making it very making it very easy for your customers to find you.

A web directory directs you to links to web sites that may contain the information you seek. Insiders refer to directories as either general. A business directory usually allows webmasters store more relevant business information than a standard web directory. Each listing usually includes the Company Name, Address, Phone, Fax Website, Company Overview, Directions and Email Contact. Web directories attempt to collect as much information as possible within specific research areas, for example, a web directory of career advice, or a web directory of safe toys for children.

Some directories accept paid submissions. Information is there because people pay to be listed. Sometimes listings are free but the positions are paid for. A web directory allows webmasters to get an inbound link to their site that will potentially add to the overall Pagerank of their homepage. The more directories a site is submitted to, the more inbound links it receives and therefore the higher the Pagerank. Understanding the structure of how a web directory collects and presents its information lets you know how much you can trust the information it contains.

Directories can be a part of many an online business search engine optimization strategy. It often occurs that when you subscribe to the free web directories you might not hear back about your submission for weeks. You may be better off paying for their links in good quality web directories that are managed well. The more diverse the links pointing to a specific web site are, the greater the chance for better traffic, and the higher the possibility of ranking in search engine algorithms. Paying to be listed in more than one directory, or to be found quickly through premium positions in a directory, can result in improved traffic to the listed web site.

The Demand for Copywriting

by Ray Edwards

This article will help illustrate the constant market demand for freelance or professional copywriting.

The demand for a Copywriter will always be strong despite the strength of the economy. In the past one could easily sell a good product with mediocre marketing, but this has changed. With the emergence of globalization competition has dramatically increased, now in order to effectively sell a product one must distinguish it from the competition. The only way for most consumers to discern the differences between competing products is through marketing. This ensures the future of copywriters. A good company will need to employ copywriters to send a consistent message to their target audience. Some companies will cut their advertising budget in light of weak sales, but this will only result in even weaker sales. If a recession comes along, demand for copywriters may drop a little but it will quickly pick back up when the economy strengthens.

The growing size of the Internet had produced a large market for copywriters as well. With over four billion websites currently on the web, it is very difficult for a company or person to get their website to show up under a search (such as with yahoo.com). A good copywriter is needed to “index” the site in order for it to show up, they do this by appeasing searchers and search bots with good writing. There is a huge market for copywriters to perform Search Engine Copywriting.

There are many opportunities for a copywriter. You can work for yourself, in an advertising agency or for a company that needs a copywriter. You can find jobs all over the country and demand for copywriters will follow and grow with the economy. There are over 500 jobs currently available for a copywriter on monster.com, and this is just a small portion of the market. On top of this, there are many other ways to get work as a copywriter, and clearly demand is high.

Hopefully this article demonstrated the high demand for copywriters. No matter the condition of the economy, you should be able to find an ample amount of work. As the economy ebbs and flows, some companies’ sales will increase no matter what, and they will need copywriters. The whole market will always offer sufficient work for a copywriter. Someone will always need your skills to sell their product.
